This summer, we gathered with lawyers, legal workers, and organizers in Nashville, TN. We got grounded in the city with our partners Southern Movement Committee and Free Hearts to talk about the work happening on the ground, what support is needed, and how L4BL can show up for Nashville's movement lawyering community.
This is part of an ongoing effort to show up in key cities across the country; not just to introduce L4BL, but to listen and build. To learn what's happening locally, where the gaps are, and how we build real relationships with the people and organizations doing the work there.
Because that's what this is really about: connection. Lawyers, legal workers, organizers, and directly impacted people in the same room, talking, building trust, figuring out how to plug in and support each other.
Growing the well of movement lawyers and legal workers matters. It matters for our people, for our movements, for the long fight ahead. Whether you're just starting out or you've been doing this work for decades, we want L4BL to be your political home. We want to meet you, greet you, and figure out how we can build together!
If you're a lawyer, legal worker, jailhouse lawyer, or law student ready to be part of this, then join L4BL's Membership Network for year-round political education, skills-building training, practice groups, Crews, radical dinner parties, and community with movement lawyers and legal workers.
